Try These Barefoot Foot Drills for Stronger Feet

Danielle Gertner believes that strength is built from the ground up, which is why you will always find her training barefoot or in barefoot, minimalist shoes like Kinis Barefoot or Vivobarefoot.

How much control do you have over those toes?

Did you know that you have 26 bones, 33 joints (almost 1/3 of all the joints in your body), and 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments in your feet?

Your feet play an incredible role in the overall functionality and stability of your body, so let's train them like we mean in!

Check out this foot and toe isolation drills with coach Danielle Gertner.

  • Start with rocking from your heels to your toes. How slow can you go?

  • Next, try driving your big toe into the ground and lift your other toes!

  • Now, reverse! Drive the big toe away from the ground and drive the rest of your toes into the ground.

Can you do it?

These drills are excellent to strengthen the neuro-muscular connection you have with your feet and increase overall mobility, flexibility, and functionality of the very thing that helps so many of us live the lives we want to!
